The Freedom Collection is an exclusive and sophisticated tribute to Nelson Mandela. Designed and framed using an ethnic African design, it incorporates the two birthday stamps and a mint-quality Mandela Birthday five rand coin.
Both stamps and the coin were limited issue one-off introductions in celebration of Nelson Mandela's 90^th birthday. In addition, the collection features three other coins. The five rand Inauguration coin - minted to commemorate the birth of a new South Africa, the two rand Freedom coin - minted in commemoration of ten years of freedom and equality, and the five rand Millennial coin - a one-off coin, minted in honour of the man - Nelson Mandela. All three of these coins have been collected from circulated coins - only the best were selected for this tribute.
